What is Bounce Rate and How to Keep Them Low

Nov 17, 11 What is Bounce Rate and How to Keep Them Low

Recently, there’s been a lot of chatter on the internet about building steady and heavy traffic through web sites that offer to send many visitors to your sites (for a couple of seconds) in exchange for a small price. Many webmasters signed up for those initially, but eventually found out the hard facts and decided to trash them. You need to be careful about bounce rates.
Above average bounce rate – When a visitor enters a site and bounces off (leaves it) to some other site after spending some brief seconds, it’s called bounce rate. With web sites offering paid traffic, the bounce rate is very high (maximum 30 seconds of on page time), because that’s the sole purpose of these sites – bouncing visitors from one listed site to another. It is recommended that you have bounce rates as low as possible and if you keep using these sites, the bounce rates are going to increase.
