Google Tips for Better Traffic

Webmasters are going head over heels to drive more and more traffic to their sites. Some become successful, others don’t. here are some important Google tips to keep you on the right track:
Control the Bots – When you have multiple versions of the same content on your site, the search bots wouldn’t know which to pick. You can control this and stop them from picking printer versions etc. Either use regular expressions in the robots.txt file or disallow the directories containing content you don’t want the bots to pick.
Country specific domain names – If you have a site catering to German visitors you’d better have a domain with .de extension, rather than de.sitename.com. This lets the search engines pick the most appropriate content.
While syndicating content on other sites, make sure that they link back to the original article. That however doesn’t promise a search listing of your choice. Google will always display matter it thinks is appropriate for the user.
